Unplug Illinois – Chalk the Park
Saturday, July 10 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The Unplug Illinois Day is a statewide initiative that encourages people to get out, unplug, play and engage with one another. The Park District of La Grange invites you to Waiola Park located at 47th & Waiola, for a sidewalk chalk contest. Check in is from 10-10:15, drawing is from 10:30-11:30.
Registration is FREE, but spots are limited so participants must be pre-registered. All ages are welcome. You can register as an individual, family or group of up to 4. Chalk will be provided by the park district or you can bring your own. Sidewalk chalk can ONLY be used for the drawings, paint or other materials are not allowed. You may bring water, sunscreen, a hat and towel or kneeler pad to kneel on. There is no general seating so if you wish, you can bring camp chairs. Please follow all state COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing precautions.
All art work will be posted on our Facebook page and a People’s Choice Award winner will be awarded to the chalk art design that gets the most votes (or likes).
