Winter Tree Identification
Saturday, January 28 1:00 pm
Learn how to identify trees without leaves, during this class. Nature Programs Manager Valerie Blaine will demonstrate the importance of bark, branches, twigs, leaf scars and buds in tree identification. The session will begin indoors with a lecture/presentation. Weather permitting, we will then head into the woods to practice tree identification skills. Advance registration is required. These adult classes are taught by experts in the field and offer in-depth information and learning opportunities about our local ecology. This award-winning program series is co-sponsored by the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, the St. Charles Park District, and the Geneva Park District. These programs are for ages 18 and up.
